I partnered closely with the Google doodle team that was in charge of making the Google Doodles that appear on the landing page of Search. We wanted to provide unique and delightful experiences to users that allowed them to interact more with the doodles.
Everything from flip-a-coin/roll-a-die to Solitaire/Pacman to Ramadan experiences. I worked closely with the team to make a design framework of how it surfaces on the Google search results page as well as the game layout/controls.
We wanted to something special for the billions of people celebrating Ramadan/Eid and so we planted an Easter Egg on the search results page. I prototyped the initial concept and pitched it to the team to get buy-in. Worked closely with the doodle team to get it implemented.
Framework for Doodle Games
Beyond doodles, we wanted to create a consistent framework so that all of Google's mini-games had a similar layout. Solitaire, pacman, Halloween games were all a pleasure to design for with the Doodle team.
